Telkomsel is the Opera's preferred partner in Indonesia

Indonesia's Telkomsel and Opera announced strategic partnership to distribute Opera Mini 5, optimized for Telkomsel subscribers. Even more, Opera Mini's customization for Telkomsel includes changes to the toolbar, billing integration, home page-content and more.

Telkomsel will also offer their customers a new Opera Mini data plan to make mobile browsing more cost efficient. We may see Opera Mini with customized Telkomsel logo and toolbar in near future, I bet.

This move is very important for Opera since Indonesia is its second largest market worldwide. Having 82 million additional subscribers in hand will boast Opera Mini dominance significantly. Telkomsel is the largest telecom carrier in Indonesia, while Opera Mini is claimed to be the most widely used browser in the world.
