Samsung Epic 4G, previously called the Samsung S Galaxy Pro just announced by Sprint and Samsung. Epic is a variant of Samsung's 4G Galaxy S but equipped with a QWERTY keyboard slider.
Samsung Epic 4G will become the first Android phone owned by Samsung and is the second 4G mobile presented by Sprint after HTC EVO 4G. (Sorry folks, just for Sprint user for now, but we hope Samsung Epic 4G will be available for Asian market soon).
Like the Galaxy S, Epic 4G using 4-inch Super AMOLED screen. Powered by Cortex A8 1GHz Hummingbird processor, 1 GB of ROM, 512 MB RAM and 16 GB MicroSD card that can be expanded up to 32 GB.
For cameras, Epic 4G has a VGA camera on the front and 5-megapixel camera on the back with LED flash and support for 720p video recording. Other features are: WiFi 802.11 b / g / n, 6-axis accelerometer, a battery 1500 mAh, mobile hotspot for 5 client and support EVDO Rev A and WiMAX.
On the software side, Epic 4G brings Android 2.1 wuth TouchWiz interface. Sprint and Samsung promised to release an update to Android 2.2 Froyo For Epic 4G in the near future when available.
