Second Windows Phone smartphone from Nokia reaches stores today

Nokia today announced the Nokia Lumia 710 will hit shelves, less than one month after the Nokia Lumia 800 started turning heads.

The Nokia Lumia 710 will start selling today in Taiwan alongside the Nokia Lumia 800. The Nokia Lumia 710 will then reach stores in Singapore, Hong Kong, India and Russia in the next seven days and continue its global roll-out over the coming weeks.

Nokia today announced the launch of three feature-packed, mass market smartphones, bringing the latest smartphone functionality at attractive price points and including market-leading innovation with Symbian Belle. The Nokia 700, Nokia 701 and Nokia 600 extend the range of available designs, features and functionality in the Nokia Symbian smartphone range.  Symbian Belle powers all three, with single-tap NFC technology  sharing and pairing, the most personal user interface so far and a more powerful mobile Web browsing experience. As well as allowing content to be shared between devices, NFC capabilities allow any of the three new smartphones to pair with NFC-enabled mobile accessories such as speakers or Bluetooth headphones and headsets. To extend the range of available NFC-enabled accessories, Nokia is also announcing the launch of the Nokia Essence Bluetooth Stereo Headset, which can be paired with any NFC-enabled smartphone simply by tapping the two devices together.

Symbian Anna - the latest software update for Symbian smartphones - is available for download starting today*. Symbian Anna significantly enhances the user experience on the Nokia N8, Nokia C7, Nokia C6-01 and Nokia E7. A new user interface, virtual QWERTY keypad in portrait mode, split-screen messaging, enhanced Nokia Maps, better web browsing and stronger security are just a few of the improvements that people will be able to enjoy. Symbian Anna can be downloaded using the latest version of Ovi Suite (version 3.1.1) on a PC, or over-the-air directly to your smartphone**.

Nokia reveals two new Symbian phones & new version of Symbian

So after a couple of months of exciting news about the first Windows Phone 7.. err phone, from Nokia, it seems that Nokia hasn't forgot about their old OS. Yes, this week Nokia just announced two new Symbian devices, the X7 and also the E6.

The X7 is definitely targets the entertainment-focused consumer with a large 4" touchscreen display, 8-megapixel camera and support for HD Video. Meanwhile the E6 is a BlackBerry-esque device with full QWERTY keyboard, support for Microsoft Exchange, Microsoft Communicator Mobile and Microsoft Share Point. Both devices will ship around Q2 of 2011 with Symbian Anna. 

Speaking of "Symbian Anna", it's the codename for the latest version of the Symbian OS, which will brings a new designed icons, usability enhancement, faster web browser and a new Ovi Maps.

Nokia to join forces with SINA and Tencent, offers on location based services through Ovi Maps

Nokia announced today that it has signed agreements with China's two leading Internet service providers, SINA and Tencent. Both SINA and Tencent services will be seamlessly integrated with Nokia's Ovi Maps in China, inviting millions of people to share their location with friends and communities through Ovi Maps on their favorite social network.

Android Gingerbread ported to Nokia N900

The guys from NITDroid Community, Alexey Roslyakov aka DrunkDebugger has been succesfully ported Android 2.3 (Gingerbread) to Nokia N900 device.

Although not all features worked perfectly but the Nokia N900 reportedly success to access data over the cellular network. In addition, voice and WiFi. DrunkDebugger has another plan to make another version of Gingerbread for N900 to make more stable (we all know the Nokia N900 which originally running Maemo 5) will be released before the year ends.

Rumor: Nokia prepare Windows Phone 7 device?

Rumors has emerged recently from one of the leading bloggers, who said that Nokia plans to make phones with the Windows Phone 7 operating system. Really?

The move follows talks between the two companies, led by chief executive officer of Nokia, Stephen Elop, the former head of Microsoft's business. Elop joined Nokia in September 2010 with a brief to improve the lot of the giant mobile phone manufacturer based in Finland.

This news was first disclosed by Eldar Murtzain who known as blogger from Mobile Review website based in Russia. He said that Elop has started talks with Microsoft, about "creating a line of phones with Windows Phone 7 OS and will be a part of Nokia brand."

Currently, the Nokia smartphone is already known as a mobile phone powered by Symbian operating system, the company is attempting to seize hard amid increasingly competitive mobile market with Android and Apple's IOS.

The new Nokia X7-00 caught on video

A mobile device known as Nokia X7-00 has been caught on camera, although not so detailed but in a video that looks a Nokia device has four speakers located in each corners. With four speakers installed on this phone, certainly this phone bring a shopisticated mobile entertainment for the user.


This phones seems uses the Symbian operating system, maybe a little bit disappointing for some users who want to use the latest operating system MeeGo.‬ Unfortunately, there is no official information about price and detail specs for this phones but we have a video after the break :
