This is not the first time Nokia NFC offensive presence on the cell phone. Previously, Nokia has announced the Nokia 6216 Classic with NFC support. But Nokia and then cancel its plan to produce the Nokia 6216. Cancellation due to absence of this seems to be the meeting point of the installation of the application to the transaction. Nokia is launching WeMeet application in India, this is a location aware application (works with cellid) that enables users to create chat groups and buy/sell products using SMS. WeMeet works with S40 and S60 phones as well (SMS based app that works on low-cost devices). The service is launched by Nokia’s Research Center.

To use We Meet, all you have to do is download and install the Java client on your mobile phone, which can be run on any S40 or S60 phone and get started right away. You can create groups and start adding contacts to the relevant groups.

If you are using the Java client, your location information will be broadcasted along with the SMSes.The software “threads” the messages in chronological order, making it easy to follow the conversation. The effect is something like an instant messaging conversation, but at the fraction of the cost and on devices with no data plans.

How not to promote your new phone, by Nokia

I wanna know what the hell were those people at Nokia were thinking when they came up with this stupid, idiotic, useless, pointless, moronic, inane, dumb, stupid,  "game" called Nokia C3 Eksismeter. No, I will not give them a hand by linking to their website.

Nokia C3 is a phone that they're launching in Indonesia in the near future and to boost awareness, they're running a social media based game where the game asks, "Lame or Happening?"

It takes advantage of people's narcissistic tendencies on social media by measuring activities on Facebook and Twitter and compare them with other people's. You get points and badges based on your social media activity, which is apparently determined by how often and how quick you can add the number of your friends or followers as well as how often you pimp Nokia on your status messages. Apparently people like to measure their life's worth by how many friends they have on Twitter and on Facebook. Shallow much?
