Rumored: Samsung Galaxy Q, packs with Froyo and QWERTY keyboard

Samsung seems preparing the next Android phones, after introducing Samsung Epic 4G / Galaxy S Pro (another Galaxy S with slider QWERTY keyboard) and now Galaxy Q.

According to Samsung's specs leak, Galaxy Q will sports with 3 inch Super AMOLED display (720 x 480 pixel). This phone will run Android 2.2 Froyo powered by 1Ghz Hummingbird processor.

Judging by the dimensions 120 mm x 68 mm x 9,25 mm, Galaxy Q seems to be a cell phone with the candy bar form factor and a QWERTY keyboard below. Some people on the AndroidForums says this phones will become a BlackBerry rival. Unfortunately until now there is no image yet for the Galaxy Q device.

LG, Samsung Android phones come in Korea with AhnLab's V3 Mobile antivirus

We heard reports on LG and Samsung competing in domestic market for Android/smartphone market share. What we rarely heard, because of recent incident with malicious code on Windows Mobile smartphone, those Android phones will come with built-in antivirus made by AhnLab. LG will inject V3 mobile antivirus to Andro-1 and upcoming LG -LU2300, while Samsung will include this antivirus into their first Android smartphone in Korea.

This V3 Mobile antivirus previously available for Symbian and Windows Mobile platform, now available for both Android and iPhone. According to its official explanation:

‘V3 Mobile for Android’ detects and repairs malicious codes in Android-based smartphones and provides real-time scans of all running processes, manual scans for executable files and general files (like SD card sector and built-in memory (UMS)). It also detects applications that possess excessive authority that allows access to personal user data with ‘behavior detection’ methodology.

‘V3 Mobile+ for iPhone’, also unveiled today, detects the jail break. In case of iPhone, the security threat in normal phone is extremely low, as it allows only approved application from App store. Therefore, ‘V3 Mobile+ for iPhone’ guarantees safe mobile internet environment by detecting jail-broken phones.

Well, I have never heard any issue with malicious code in Android and iPhone so far, but if your handset has been jailbroken or rooted, it's better to include this antivirus into your phone as precaution.
