BlackBerry PlayBook tablet price drop for Indonesian market

Indonesia is the most great country for Research In Motion (RIM) since they released BlackBerry smartphone. And now, RIM has been cut the price for BlackBerry PlayBook tablet device which sold in Indonesia.

You can get 16GB PlayBook tablet for only Rp. 2,299,000, in the first launching the 16GB version has Rp. 4,999,000 price tag. And for 32GB now only Rp. 2,849,000 (first launch Rp. 5,999,000)and the 64GB PlayBook has Rp. 3,399,000 price tag (first launch Rp. 6,999,000). I think this is the best time for you to buy one because RIM will be released official PlayBook OS 2.0 this month.

Indosat to Support Operator Billing on BlackBerry App World

Research In Motion (RIM) and Indosat today announced an operator billing option for Indosat’s BlackBerry® customers that purchase apps on BlackBerry® App World™.

Operator billing will allow Indosat’s BlackBerry customers to conveniently and securely purchase apps from BlackBerry App World and charge the purchases directly to their Indosat bill. Customers will also be able to charge in-app purchases to their Indosat bill, which allows for the purchase of digital goods, such as additional content or more levels to a game, to be made without interrupting the application experience.

BlackBerry ID, which provides customers with a secure device-independent user identification (ID) for use with BlackBerry App World (and other BlackBerry services), enables this new payment option in addition to allowing customers to seamlessly transfer their personal library of free and purchased apps when they switch to a new BlackBerry® smartphone. Furthermore, BlackBerry ID requires the user to enter their password when making a purchase, providing an added layer of security that can help protect a user from unauthorized purchases in the event their smartphone is lost or stolen.

BlackBerry Bold 9790 aka bellagio has arrive in Indonesia, before the sales counter opened the potential buyers have been queuing up even up to stay a day before. But there are several buyers who collapsed and broken bones, how come? What makes them willing to sacrifice so full of struggle just to get a BlackBerry mobile phone?

BlackBerry Bold 9790 phone or also called Bellagio is a new BlackBerry device released by RIM, Indonesia became the first country that launching for this phone in the world, more interesting is that for the first 1000 buyers will be charged a 50% discount. The normal price is Rp. 4,600,000 and with the discount the price become Rp. 2,300,000,-

Sales of prime Blackberry Bellagio (9790) at Pacific Place, Sudirman Central Business District (SCBD), Central Jakarta, Friday (25/11/2011), Indonesia brings a riot. At least four people fainted and one person suffered a broken bone.

Somehow the beginning, the action of pushing and shoving occurred in a crowd of thousands of people lining up. They were shouting and banging the counter sales. A number of people squashed in the crowd. The atmosphere of the queue is sloppy.Police and organizers tried to calm the screaming masses.

RIM launched BlackBerry Bold 9900, Torch 9860 and Torch 9810 in Indonesia

Research In Motion (RIM) recently announced the launch of the latest
BlackBerry Bold 9900 smartphone in Indonesia. BlackBerry Bold 9900
smartphone will be available in late September with the price Rp
5.999.000 through authorized Indonesia distributors : PT. Teletama
Artha Mandiri, PT. Comtech Cellular, dan PT. Selular Media Infotama.

RIM announced the launch of new BlackBerry 7 smartphones including

the Torch 9860 (all-touch) and the Torch 9810 (touch-screen smartphone
with a slide-out QWERTY keyboard). BlackBerry OS 7 offers a variety of
performance enhancements and capabilities to produce stunning
experience for users.

Samsung Galaxy S II now available for Indonesian market

Finnaly, the Indonesian user can bought Samsung Galaxy S II the next generation of Samsung Galaxy S line. Unfortunately, there is no information about price untill we discover this news.

As a reminder, Samsung Galaxy S II has a higher specification than the Galaxy's predecessor, using Android 2.3 Gingerbread operating systems, with 4.3 inches Super AMOLED plus display and support 1GB RAM and powered by 1.2 GHz dual-core ARM Cortex A9 processor.

Besides that features there is a 8 megapixel camera, ability to access WiFi, Bluetooth and GPS so you can using this phones as a Personal Navigation Devices (PND) for your trip.

HTC and Telkomsel launch HTC Flyer and HTC Wildfire S in Indonesia

On Thursday May 26th 2011, HTC and Telkomsel unveiled HTC Flyer tablet and HTC Wildfires S smartphone for Indonesian market, both devices is planned to be available on June 8th 2011.

As we know, HTC Flyer 7 is the first tablet device from HTC which using  Android Gingerbread sports with 7 inch touchscreen display with Scribe technology, powered with Qualcomm MSM8255 1,5GHz Snapdragon processor, HSPA+, WiFi and 5 megapixel. This devices combines touch screen with a pen 'magically' enables users to make notes, draw or even write on web pages and photos to sign the contract as written on the paper.

While HTC Wildfire S is a smartphone which sports with 3,2-inch display, powered with Qualcomm MSM7227 processor and running Android OS 2.3 Gingerbread, HSDPA 7,2Mbps, HSUPA 384Kbps, WiFi, Bluetooth and 5 megapixsel camera.

HTC Flyer has Rp. 6,999,000 price tag (arround US$ 818), while HTC Wildfire S has Rp. 2,999,000 (around US$ 351), both device is packed with free unlimited data access from Telkomsel for first six month.

Rumor: XL Axiata to release iPhone 4 in Indonesia on April 26

It seems that we're getting information about XL Axiata's imminent iPhone 4 launch. XL has been actively contacting app developers who have agreed to have their apps featured during the company's launch of the iPhone 4 and recently it has increased its communications with the group. Additionally, plans for the launch have been leaked on Twitter.

According to the leak, XL will launch its iPhone 4 in a week long event from Tuesday, April 26 to Sunday, May 1 at Grand Indonesia in Central Jakarta, in partnership with BNI. While the phones' outright prices won't be any different from Telkomsel's (16GB IDR 6.999 million, 32GB IDR 7.999 million), interested customers can also purchase the iPhone on an installment basis. BNI will accept an upfront cash payment with credit card installment for 12 months.
