LG Optimus One hits Indian market

LG Optimus One is one of newer LG Andriod phones with lower prices has came to Indian market, this phones starting their debuts on last October, and now has 13,500 Rupee or around US$ 280 price tag.

LG Optimus One is mid-end Android device which sports with Android 2.2 Froyo operating system, powered by 600 MHz processors and 170MB internal memory, that come with expandable memory card support and 3.2 inch (320 x 480 pixel) touchscreen display. This phone came with 3,2 megapixel camera (AF-VGA Video Recording @18fps), HSDPA 7.2 Mbps, WiFi 802.11 b/g, Bluetooth 2.1, Stereo FM Radio and 3.5 mm audio port.

Recently, LG reports about this phone has got 1 million unit sales in the global market after 40 days since first launching. Hmmm the sound is good...

Dell launched two Android phones in India

Dell has just launched two android phones in India. The model is Dell XCD28 and Dell will compete in the mid-end Android phones in the market.

Interestingly, both Dell Android phone is a rebranding by ZTE. Dell XCD28 is actually is ZTE Racer while Dell XCD35 is rebranding from ZTE Blade.

Dell XCD28 aka ZTE Racer labeled priced 10,990 rupees or about US$250. Key Specifications of Dell XCD28 including 600 MHz processor, 3.2 MP camera, 3G and WiFi, 2.8-inch QVGA resistive screen. While Dell XCD35 has better screen resolution, 3.5 inch resistive screen with 800 x 480 pixels. The otehr specs is not too different from the XCD28. This phone will sell for 16,990 rupee or around US$350.

Google extends Android market's availability in more countries

In a race with Apple's App Store to provide the largest application shop in mobile industry, Google's Android Market must extend their availability in more countries, where developers can sell their apps and users be able to buy them.

Knowing the current limitation, Google announced that Android Market for paid apps is extended to more countries. Support for paid application is now expanded to 29 countries, while there are 32 countries now that allowing users to buy paid apps. 

Among those new countries, Hong Kong, Singapore, South Korea, and Taiwan are Asian countries where the developers now be able to offer their paid apps. In addition, Hong Kong, India, Singapore, and Taiwan are included into country list where users can buy the paid apps.

Developers will need to change the locations within their publisher dashboards, those that selected “All Locations” will not need to change any of their settings.Google is committed to bring these schemes into more countries in coming months. In comparison, Apple's App Store has already made presence in 97 countries worldwide.

RIM not allow India to monitoring BlackBerry service

Just a day after the UEA banned the operation of RIM Blackberry in the country, Research in Motion would not allow the Indian government to monitor encrypted emails but said it hoped for a rapid solution to recent concerns over national security.

RIM has not offered an openness to share data with Indian security agencies and demonstrate the technical code for corporate email services, RIM denied local media reports it would allow Indian intelligence agencies to read BlackBerry messages to satisfy government security concerns of the government.

RIM said that they would try to meet the security needs of both customers and governments. And it seemed to BlackBerry users in India do not have to worry about this.

Samsung Champ are now available in India with a price of just Rs 4000, equivalent to US $ 86 only. With prices like this, we might be a little skeptical to these device but Samsung Champ has come up with a touchscreen feature and device that was quite interesting.  Look at its features. Samsung Champ has a screen 2.4-inch QVGA touchscreen, 1.3MP camera, Lite TouchWiz UI, Bluetooth 2.1, microSD card slot, 3.5mm audio jack, and supports Samsung Apps.
