Now the iPod Touch owner can be 'modified' their iPod Touch, so that could be used to make calls like the iPhone. All you need is a casing. Interestingly, this casing using a SIM card to make calls. This is different from previous ways of using the SIP protocol-based applications or VOIP.

This iPod Touch casing is Apple Skin Case 520 or Apple Peel 520 is basically a communication module. In addition to having the SIM card slot, the casing is also equipped with 800 mAh batteries and antennas are located on the lower right corner. Apple Peel 520 made by a Chinese company named Yosion.

HTC now use their own-brand for China market

HTC, Taiwanese based mobile phone manufacturer has finally decided to use their own-brand for phone sold in China. As is known, HTC previously sold phone in China using Dopod brand.

In addition, HTC also announced the first four phones will be sold with the HTC brand in China. The fourth phone are HTC Desire, HTC Wildfire, HTC Tianxi and HTC Tianyi. HTC Wildfire and HTC Desire is already familiar to us. While HTC Tianyi and HTC Tianxi reportedly is a mobile phone specifically designed for China Mobile operator.

One of the four phone (HTC Tianxi) will use Windows Mobile operating systems. Meanwhile, three other cell phone will be powered with Android OS. According to HTC's press release, HTC will hold China Mobile and Gome Electrical Appliances Ltd. to distributing their smartphone in China's region.

Huawei S7, brings tablet and smartphone in one convergence device

Huawei as a mobile phone manufacturer from China was also released its product innovation in the form of tablet computers and smartphone in one device, named Huawei S7. The product is intended for people who enjoy going to new gadgets and technology with new technology but also mobile. But, unlike Apple's iPad tablet, Huawei S7 also functions as a smartphone.

"S7 is designed different from our competitors, so the S7 is not a tablet PC works only Android but he's also phone functions well," said Hadi Hardiana Syamsudin, Product Marketing Manager of Huawei at ICS 2010 event in Jakarta.

The specifications of the S7 is to use the Android OS version 2.1, capacitive screens with a width of 7 inches WVGA 800x480 pixel, trackpad, 1.3MP front facing camera, gravity sensor, Bluetooth 2.1, Micro USB 2.0, Wi-fi, Hi-fi speakers, 3.5 mm audio jack, 8GB Internal Memory up to 32GB support, and the sim card slot. This device uses Qualcomm's Snapdragon processor.

Huawei S7 also features a multimedia application that is a media player and photo browser. Can also connect directly to your TV via HDMI. Can be used for the eBooks as well. Unfortunately, the price still a secret..sigh

CiPhone, white iPhone 4 clone from China

ZTE X850, the first Android phone from ZTE

Huawei's entry-level phones with Androd 2.2 coming soon in China

Mobile phone with Android operating system is increasingly popular, following by the presence of lower-priced phones with the Android operating system. And one that encourages the presence of these phones are the manufacturer from China, Huawei.

Finally we will soon find a cell phone loaded with the Android 2.2 Froyo, because Huawei mobile phones will soon be launched later in August. Huawei will present its plan this phone with a more affordable price.
According to the Engadget China website, Huawei cell phone will packed with 2.8-inch QVGA  capacitive touchscreen display, 3.2 megapixel camera (possibly with dual-LED flash), 3G and HSDPA connectivity.

BlackBerry Curve 8910 announced on China Mobile

Currently, RIM BlackBerry phone packed with a trackpad features, but China Mobile has launching BlackBerry 8910 (aka Atlas) which is still using the old-school style, a trackball -- yes trackball!

What is the different with the previous version (Curve 8900) ? Curve 8910 is RIM Curve series that has the same shape and size to the BlackBerry 89xx. According to RIM China’s BlackBerry 8910 page, the specs look more or less the same as the original Curve 8900: 3.2 megapixel camera with autofocus and flash, 480 x 360 display but The Curve 8910 has been using BlackBerry OS 5.0 rather than OS 4.6. Curve 8910 does not have WiFi but has Evolved-EDGE which is faster running on the 2G network.

Altek Leo, camera phone or a phone in camera?

Taiwanese camera maker Altek, has just launched the Android-based camera phones. Altek Leo packed with Android 2.1 with 14 megapixel camera that offers capabilities such as a standalone regular digital camera.

Altek Leo equipped with 3x optical zoom support. In addition there are Altek Leo Xenon Flash Light for illuminating dark objects. Altek Leo also brought 1/2.3 inch CCD image sensor as found in the regular standalone camera. In short, Altek Leo is a phone with a better camera, or perhaps could be called a camera that is equipped with mobile phones, yay!

Although there is no official specifications from Altek, the Altek Leo will run Android 2.1 and equipped with 3.2-inch WVGA screen, WiFi connectivity and support for 3.5G access. Altek Leo reportedly will start in sale in Hong Kong, China and Taiwan in the fourth quarter of this year with a $ 499 price tag. Watch the video below for a closer look.

Motorola Ben Hai, coming soon for China market

We all know that recently Motorola has launched several mobile products with the names of a very stout and maybe a little to give the impression haunted, call it like Motorola Extreme, Incredible and others.

But recently Motorola has just released the Motorola Ben Hai, this is a line of mobile phones made by Motorola throuhg Bluetooth SIG. According to plan this American mobile phone maker, they plans to produce 20 pieces of new types of mobile phone models this year.

Motorola Ben Hai will sports with WiFi, GPS, Bluetooth 2.1, 5MP camera, and the ability to record 720p video, HDMI-out port. Rumors circulated that the device uses the Android operating system, and will attend for China market soon.

In addition to Motorola Ben Hai, other Motorola product to enliven the market is the Motorola Goldfinch. This device sports with 3.2-inch touchscreen display, Bluetooth 2.1, integrated FM radio and 3MP camera on the back. Also have ISDB-T receivers, which with this receiver the device will be able to receive digital TV broadcasts that can be used in the region of Latin America and Japan.

Meizu M9 packed with Android 2.1

With the existence of Android platform, the mobile phone maker and electronics from China has equipped the operating system that can become a mainstay penetrate to the international market. Meizu is electronic maker from China known as MP3 player maker now preparing to producing cellphone with nice specification.

Meizu CEO, Jack Wong comfirmed that their next phone, Meizu M9, will use Android 2.1 and also revealed that the M9 will include 3 different types of keyboards. The Android distribution will be customized by Meizu.

Meizu M9 sports with Android 2.1 platform, 3.6 inch touchscren display, 1 GHz (Samsung S5PC110) processor, and HTMI 1.3 output (?). This phone will be lauched for Asian market on August 2010 with $350 price tag.
